What I Do
I advise real estate owners, co-op/condominium boards, developers, landlords, and property managers on a broad range of commercial and residential real estate matters, with a particular focus on landlord-tenant disputes, commercial litigation, and day-to-day property-level counseling. I have represented institutional property owners, private equity firms, REITs, and other real estate businesses with substantial New York portfolios.
My real estate litigation practice encompasses disputes involving possession, lease enforcement, commercial tenancies, and other issues affecting the ownership and operation of real estate. I regularly appear in New York City, state, and federal bankruptcy courts, and I work closely with clients to develop practical strategies for resolving disputes while protecting their properties and business interests.
I also advise clients on the transactional and operational issues that arise in owning and managing real estate, including leasing and licensing agreements, vendor contracts, regulatory agreements, settlement agreements, and surrender agreements. My experience working across both litigation and day-to-day property matters enables me to help clients address legal issues in the context of their broader business objectives.
Beyond real estate matters, I handle commercial disputes involving breach of contract, fraud, fiduciary duties, partnership and shareholder issues, and other business claims. Earlier in my career, my litigation experience included complex bankruptcy proceedings and commercial arbitrations.
