1. INTRODUCTION
Braverman Greenspun, P.C. (the “Firm,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to being transparent about how information is handled in connection with our website located at www.braverlaw.net (the “Site”). This Privacy Policy describes what information we collect when you visit the Site, how we use it, who we share it with, and how you can make choices about it.
This policy applies to the Site only. It does not govern information collected in connection with the Firm’s legal representation of clients, which is subject to attorney-client confidentiality obligations and the terms of individual engagement agreements.
2. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
a. Information You Provide Directly
The Site does not include contact forms, intake forms, or account registration. If you choose to reach out to the Firm using an email address or phone number listed on the Site, that communication takes place outside the Site’s infrastructure and is handled in accordance with our professional obligations rather than this policy.
The Careers section of the Site lists employment opportunities along with contact information for direct outreach. Communications submitted through those channels are handled separately from this policy.
b. Information Collected Automatically
When you visit the Site, certain information is collected automatically through cookies and similar tracking technologies. This includes your IP address, browser type and version, device type and operating system, pages viewed and time spent on each page, the URL of the page you visited before arriving at the Site, your general geographic location as derived from your IP address, and behavioral data about how you navigate the Site.
This information is collected through the technologies described in Section 3.
c. Information From Third Parties
LinkedIn may provide the Firm with aggregated demographic data about Site visitors—such as job title, industry, and company size—through the LinkedIn Insight Tag. This information is reported in aggregate and is not linked to individually identified visitors on our end.
3. COOKIES AND SIMILAR TECHNOLOGIES
The Site uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to support its operation, analyze visitor behavior, and power our marketing activities.
A cookie is a small text file stored on your device when you visit a website. Some cookies are set directly by us; others are set by third-party services operating on the Site.
Strictly Necessary Cookies
These cookies are required for the Site to function. They include cookies set by CookieYes, our cookie consent management platform, to record and honor your consent preferences. These cookies cannot be disabled through our consent tool.
Analytics Cookies
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the Site—which pages are viewed, how long visitors stay, and where traffic originates. Google Analytics collects this information using cookies and processes your IP address, which is configured to be anonymized. More information about Google’s data practices is available at policies.google.com.
Marketing and Retargeting Cookies
We use the LinkedIn Insight Tag, a tracking script provided by LinkedIn Corporation. This tag collects data about your visit to the Site and may be used to serve targeted advertising to you on LinkedIn, as well as to provide us with aggregated reporting about our Site audience. LinkedIn may combine this data with information it already holds about you from your LinkedIn profile. You can opt out of LinkedIn’s retargeting by adjusting your LinkedIn advertising preferences at www.linkedin.com/psettings/guest-controls.
Marketing Automation Cookies
We use HubSpot’s site tracking script to understand how visitors engage with pages on the Site. This script collects page visit data and assigns anonymous identifiers to track browsing activity across sessions. No form data is collected through HubSpot on this Site. More information about HubSpot’s data practices is available at legal.hubspot.com/privacy-policy.
Social Media Cookies
The Site includes a LinkedIn follow button. When this element loads, LinkedIn may set cookies on your device regardless of whether you interact with the button.
Video Cookies
The Site may embed video content hosted on YouTube, a service operated by Google LLC. When a YouTube video loads, Google may set cookies on your device and collect information about your interaction with the video. Google’s privacy practices are described at policies.google.com.
Managing Your Cookie Preferences
When you first visit the Site, a consent notice powered by CookieYes will invite you to accept or decline non-essential cookies by category. You may update your preferences at any time through the cookie settings link on the Site.
You may also configure your browser to block or delete cookies. Disabling certain cookies may affect how the Site functions.
The Site is configured to recognize and honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC), a browser-level signal that communicates an opt-out preference for cross-context behavioral tracking. If your browser transmits a GPC signal, we will treat it as a request to opt out of non-essential tracking.
4. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION
We use information collected through the Site to operate and maintain the Site and ensure it functions as intended, to analyze traffic and visitor behavior in order to improve the Site’s content and user experience, to measure the reach and effectiveness of our marketing through LinkedIn and Google Analytics, to serve retargeted advertising to Site visitors through LinkedIn, and to track page-level engagement through HubSpot to better understand how visitors interact with our content.
We do not use automatically collected information to make decisions about individuals, to build profiles for purposes beyond those described here, or to sell to third parties.
5. HOW WE SHARE YOUR INFORMATION
We do not sell personal information to third parties. We do not share visitor data with data brokers, advertising networks beyond LinkedIn, or marketing partners.
Visitor data is shared only with the following service providers in connection with the purposes described in this policy:
- Google LLC — analytics services through Google Analytics 4
- LinkedIn Corporation — visitor behavior tracking and advertising retargeting through the LinkedIn Insight Tag
- HubSpot, Inc. — website engagement tracking through HubSpot’s site tracking script
- CookieYes — cookie consent management
Each of these providers operates under its own privacy policy and data processing terms. We encourage you to review those policies if you have questions about how your data is handled at the platform level.
Payment Services
The Site contains a link to an external payment portal operated by PayTrace (paylink.paytrace.com). If you follow that link to make a payment, you will be directed to PayTrace’s own website, which is governed by PayTrace’s privacy policy. We do not receive or process any payment information or personal data submitted through that portal.
Business Transfers
If the Firm is involved in a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, visitor data may transfer to a successor entity as part of that transaction. We will take reasonable steps to ensure that any successor handles information consistent with this policy.
Legal Requirements
We may disclose information when required to do so by law, regulation, or legal process, or where we have a good-faith belief that disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of the Firm, our clients, or others.
6. DATA RETENTION
We retain website visitor data—including analytics data and HubSpot engagement records—for approximately one year from the date of collection. After that period, data is purged in the ordinary course of business. Third-party platforms such as Google, LinkedIn, and HubSpot may retain data they collect through the Site in accordance with their own retention schedules.
7. SECURITY
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect information collected through the Site from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. The Site uses SSL/TLS encryption to secure data transmitted between your browser and our web server. The Site is hosted on infrastructure provided through GoDaddy and WordPress, which maintain their own physical and technical security measures.
No method of data transmission or electronic storage is entirely secure. We cannot guarantee that unauthorized parties will never be able to defeat our safeguards.
8. THIRD-PARTY LINKS
The Site contains links to third-party websites, including the PayTrace payment portal and external LinkedIn pages. These links are provided for your convenience. Once you leave the Site, your activity is governed by the destination site’s own privacy policy. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of external websites.
9. CHILDREN’S PRIVACY
The Site is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you have reason to believe that a child has submitted personal information through the Site, please contact us at privacy@braverlaw.net and we will take steps to address it.
10. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in our data practices, applicable law, or the technologies we use on the Site. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this document. We recommend reviewing this policy at least once a year to stay current on how we handle information collected through the Site.
