Braverman Greenspun Strengthens Real Estate Litigation Bench With Addition of Jonathan W. Rich

Braverman Greenspun announced today that Jonathan W. Rich has joined the firm as of counsel, adding a seasoned real estate litigator to Braverman Greenspun’s bench. Rich has vast experience representing prominent commercial and residential real estate owners in New York City—including major private equity firms, REITs, institutional property owners, and developers—in connection with litigation and building operations matters.

“Jonathan has spent his career litigating the disputes our clients face every day, and he brings experience with a client base that fits naturally alongside ours,” said Robert Braverman, Braverman Greenspun’s managing partner and principal. “His litigation talent and his deep understanding of the practical realities of building operations make him an ideal addition to the team.”

Rich has handled a wide variety of commercial and residential real estate disputes since entering private practice nearly two decades ago. Most recently, as a member of the real estate litigation practice group and head of commercial landlord tenant matters at Kucker Marino Winiarsky & Bittens, LLP, he advised and counseled several high-profile commercial and residential owners, investors, developers, landlords, and managers, with cumulative assets approaching 100 million square feet. His practice includes all aspects of real estate and landlord-tenant matters, including litigation, transactions, and bankruptcy-related work, and he regularly appears before New York city, state, and federal bankruptcy courts. He also provides day-to-day, property-level guidance to his clients.

“As the premiere representative of co-ops and condos across the city, Braverman Greenspun offers a highly complementary platform for my practice,” said Rich. “I’m looking forward to getting to know the buildings and boards they represent and putting my diverse real estate litigation background to work for them.”

Rich earned his J.D. from New York Law School and a B.A. in History from Cornell University. He is admitted to practice in New York, as well as before the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York and the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.
